Sheek, Styles P and Jadakiss, the rap trio who make up Living Off Xperience (The LOX), were originally discovered by Mary J. Blige and arrived on the scene between the mid-to-late 90s. Their debut album, Money, Power & Respect, went platinum in 1998, peaking at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart and ranked #1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-hop Albums.
This raw and lyrical documentary explores how the music industry’s abuse of power around artist ownership and publishing rights was a pervasive, open secret until The LOX demanded what was rightfully theirs.
